I need some help with eyelets..I am new and bought this setter that is hand-held and kinda looks like pliers, but no matter how hard I squeeze I cannot get the eyelets to BUDGE!
The stupid thing didnt come with directions so I don't know what I am supposed to do. Also...can you use a big setter to set mini eyelets or do you have to buy alll different types for your various sizes.
Any help here is appreciated.
Thanks!! |

You should look into buying an eyelet hammer or a small rubber mallet. It is a miniature hammer that is anywhere from 8-10 inches long and you use it to tap the eyelet setter (some of the eyelets you have to hit quite hard).
Do a test on a scrap piece of paper if you have never tried it before.

You can't use a big setter on small eyeletes, so you either have to buy them seperately or you can buy a universal kit that has interchangeable ends.
