Scrapbooking Discussion

The inspiration for this layout was a trip to the water park one fine summer day. It wasn’t too hot which shaped the experience for my daughter; if it had been hotter she would have gone under the sprinklers. She pushed the button to start them up but in the end just splashed in the puddles they left behind.

Water Park Fun Layout

Scrapbook Supplies

• Light blue photo mounting paper
• Double sided adhesive
• 3 caption stickers
• 2 magenta square dimensional stickers
• 2 blue square dimensional stickers

Scrapbook Tools

• Personal trimmer

Scrapbooking Notes:

The photos in the layout depict motion or the actions she did throughout her time at the water park. I like that you can see the ripples from the puddle she created as well as her running (with a cookie in her hand no less). The photos are in sequence starting with pushing the button to start up the water, splashing in the puddle and running around after the puddles have disappeared. I arranged them in this manner because you can follow the sequence as well as have space to do journaling in between the photos. The captions stickers are all related to the action or general theme of the photos and add extra color and playfulness to the layout. Two of the stickers were much smaller than the space they occupied so I added the square dimensional stickers on either side of them to fill in the space and add some extra color to the layout.
