Scrapbooking Discussion
When little friends get together to play, something magical is sure to occur. These two little girls became fast friends at a barbecue during which they played in the water, with toys and shared food. Their interactions were the inspiration for this scrapbook layout.
Summer Fun Scrapbook Layout

Scrapbook Supplies

• Blue photo mounting paper
• 5 captions stickers
• 1 sand bucket sticker
• Double sided adhesive

Scrapbook Tools

• Scissors
• Ruler

Scrapbooking Notes:

The two complete photos I printed off have decorative borders around them. I arranged and attached them in opposite corners to balance out the layout. I cut around the figures of the two girls in the left hand corner because they were sitting against a plain background and now the blue paper backs them. In the photo they had been sitting farther apart and this way I can make it look like they are sitting right next to each other. To balance out the layout again, I cut around the figure of one a child in the photo I intended to use in the bottom right hand corner. To fill in small blank spaces around the cut outs of the children, I used caption stickers to describe the day as well as add a bit of contrasting color to the layout. I also added a sand bucket sticker under the little girl’s hand to make it look like she is holding it. This filled in the empty space under her hand as well as filling her hand, which had just been extended out in the photo and looked odd reaching out to nothing or without anything in it. Little bits of journaling such as the names of the children and even the date could be added in around the pictures because this wouldn’t take up much space.
