| Scrapbooking Notes:
I chose these two photos because they reflect the closeness and
feelings of the couple being photographed. These photos are perfect
for a Valentine’s Day layout and to include in a scrapbook
on the couple in the photo. The photos are the focus of the layout
so you don’t want to add too many embellishments. I used the
large heart shaped die cut to frame the heads of the couple in the
photo. It isn’t necessary to cut the excess photo outside
of the frame because there may be something in the photo that is
important to the couple (i.e. the necklace the woman is wearing
is special because it was given to her by the man in the photo).
If there isn’t anything special in the excess portions of
the photo you can cut around the outside of the heart shape. If
this is what you choose to do, you don’t need to use the two
heart stickers in the corners of that photo. In between the two
photos I added a medium heart shaped die cut to the page and a small
heart shaped die cut inside it. If you really want this heart to
stand out you can use a 3-D foam square underneath the small heart
shaped die cut to add extra dimension to your scrapbook page. On
the corners of the photos furthest away from one edge of the page
I stuck on a heart shaped sticker to add some color because the
straight edge of the photo looked so bare next to a blank white
space. The final sticker I used to embellish this layout was the
Soul Mates sticker (which speaks to how the couple feel about each
other). I added this sticker to fill in a large space in the corner
of the photo. I had removed as much of the excess background from
the photo with the personal trimmer but removing any more would
have meant the photo would have looked uneven. Fill in the empty
spaces around the photos with journaling. Use a red bold or fine-tip
pen, depending on how much journaling you have to add.
