Scrapbooking Discussion

This layout took about 40 minutes to make. I let the beach and the water be my inspiration for the supplies used in this layout. The printed photo mounting paper that resembles water ties in with the beach theme of the layout and the dark blue wavy borders represent the waves at the beach. Yellow die cuts add a nice contrast to the blue and break it up as well as tying in with the theme of the layout.

Sandcastles Scrapbook Layout

Scrapbook Supplies

• Printed photo mounting paper
• Blue photo mounting paper
• 2 die cut shapes
• 1 vacation photo
• 4 shell stickers
• Double sided adhesive

Scrapbook Tools

• Self-healing Mat & Blades
• 12" Cutting Form
• Personal Trimmer
• Ruler
• Scissors
• Gold gel pen

Scrapbooking Notes:

I used gold pen for the journaling because it adds a bit of glitter to the page and resembles the sparkle of wet sand when the sun shines down on it. The blue borders created with the 12" cutting form frame the picture with waves to continue the water motif present in the printed photo mounting paper as well as the photo itself. The four shell stickers in the corners of the photo draw attention to the photo and define the corners without distracting from the subject of the photo. The stickers and the die cuts continue the beach theme, complimenting the photo and filling in the page without being overwhelming.
