Scrapbooking Discussion

This is a simple yet powerful layout. The inspiration for this layout was a backpacking trip to Mount Washington. I came back with three photos of the mountains that are so beautiful they are beyond description.

Scrapbook Supplies

•Blue photo mounting paper
•White photo mounting paper
•Double sided adhesive

Scrapbook Tools

•Black bold-tip marker
•Personal trimmer
•Ruler

Scrapbooking Notes:

I used the caption sticker stating, “A picture is a poem without words”, a quote from Homer to capture that sentiment. I staggered the photos so they would stand out but it also creates separate spaces for the journaling, however little. I simply wrote the words Mount Washington on the white paper in black ink and filled the empty space with a fancy squiggle. I chose blue for the background to the layout because there was so much blue in the photos any other color would have seemed too stark in contrast. The blue color of the sticker blends nicely with the background paper and the sky in the photos but it needs to stand out more so I backed it with white paper. I used white paper again as the background for the journaling because it would make the words stand out as well as matching the white I used to back the sticker. I used the size of paper I did to fill the spaces beside the photo even if it was bigger than the journaling.
