Scrapbooking Discussion

This layout was inspired by a cookie making session when my daughter wanted to sit on my lap and “help” by tasting the cookie dough (a fine family tradition, the dough is sometimes better than the final product).

Mommy's Little Helper Layout

Scrapbook Supplies

• Peach photo mounting paper
• Caption sticker
• 4 cookie stickers
• 2 egg stickers
• Double-sided adhesive
• Brown bold-tip pen

Scrapbook Tools

• Personal trimmer
• Ruler

Scrapbooking Notes:

I prepared all the photos for the layout by cropping the unnecessary parts of the background from the photo. I made two of the photos roughly the same size and the other photo smaller because the parts I cut out didn’t pertain to the subject of the layout, cookie making. I arranged one of the larger photos near the top left-hand corner and the other centered in middle of the bottom of the page, leaving enough room in-between the photos for the sticker, which is the title of the layout. Not all titles need to be at the top of the page. The smaller photo fits into the layout nicely, centered beside the large photo in the left hand corner of the page. The small photo is kind of the conclusion of the sequence of photos. I put cookie stickers in the corners of the smaller photo to fill in some of the blank space as well as adding journaling above and below the photo. The remaining journaling is on either side of the photo at the bottom of the page as well as the caption sticker in the middle of the page. On either side of the caption sticker I added an egg sticker to tie in with the backing layout and to add a bit of contrasting color and dimension to the layout.
