Candle Making Discussion
This is another simple candle to make that children can participate in since no heat is required. The Jelly wax that I use comes in a container that is similar to a hair gel container. This is NOT GEL WAX which has a much more rubbery texture and must be melted to use.

First Aid

The Jelly wax that I buy is premade, already colored and scented. Its consistency is that of hair gel. I found that this wax burned quite fast, so I had to continually trim the wick to keep it within 1/4 inch of the wax. Jelly Wax
Squirt a small amount of wax into the bottom of your container. Make candles using jelly wax step 1
Place your pretabbed wick. For simplicities sake I pre-trimmed the wick since it was a bit long and got in the way. I then pushed the base of the tab into the small amount of wax with the popsicle stick. Make candles using jelly wax step 2
After the wick is anchored, fill up the container, with about a 1/4 inch from the top of the container. Make candles using jelly wax step 3
It is a bit difficult to get the wax even on the top since you have to squirt it in so use a popsicle stick to spread it around.
