Knit stitch step 4 Step Four

Insert tip of needle through opening of stitch and bring out other side. Your needle should now be pointing downward.

Knit stitch step 5 Step Five

Push left needle down with right thumb.

Knit stitch step 6 Step Six

Push stitch off the needle. You have now knit one stitch. This stitch is on the right needle.

Knit stitch step 7 Step Seven

Continue to knit the rest of this row and further rows the way you did the first stitch. This is called garter stitch and resembles rows of ridges.
