Scrapbooking Discussion

The inspiration for this layout was the first photos taken of my daughter with her father and I in the hospital after she was born, making this my first family photograph.

My First Family Photograph Layout

Scrapbook Supplies

•Pink photo mounting paper
•3 captions stickers
•Double sided adhesive

Scrapbook Tools

•Personal trimmer

Scrapbooking Notes:

I used pink paper as the background for the layout to tie in with the baby being a girl. I don’t normally believe in the stereotype of pink for girls and blue for boys but there was a second reason for using it here. The captions on the transparent scrapbooking stickers I used would not have shown up against a darker paper so pink suited this layout very well. I centered the first photo on the page and centered the second photo below the first. I centered the caption stickers above, between and below the photos to keep up the balance of the layout. The space on either side of the photos could be used for journaling and/or you could add a border on both sides of the page. It’s not a complicated layout but a special one.
