Scrapbooking Discussion

This layout took just under half an hour. I chose to use red paper because it matches the color of the coats the girls are wearing and it is a color long identified with school days because of the connection with the apple given to the teacher. Both the sticker and the frame in the First Day of School Layout also contain apples that tie into the school theme.

Scrapbooking Notes:

To create this First Day of School Scrapbook Layout, I used a decorative photo frame, sticker and die cut accent all with a school theme to match the theme of the photo. Red is a constant color throughout all the accent pieces as well as the photo mounting paper so the pieces all compliment and blend with each other. Even the red jackets in the photo pop against a red background that makes the true subjects of this scrapbooking page really stand out. Black bold-tip pen is the only color to use here to ensure the journaling is seen against all the red on the page. Using a little calligraphy style writing also helps to make certain words more noticeable.
