Scrapbooking Discussion

The inspiration for this layout was a photo of my dog. There was so much useless background in the photo I wanted to cut it out and just concentrate on the subject of the photo, the dog.

Dog House Layout

•11 dog theme stickers
•Double sided adhesive
•Blue bold-tip pen

Scrapbook Tools

Scrapbooking Notes:

I had a stencil for a house so I traced it onto the back of the striped pattern paper and cut it out. I centered it and attached it to the blue paper. I cropped the photo so the dog would be centered in the opening of the house cut out. I slipped it into place under the house cut out and centered it within the opening of the house. When I was satisfied with the arrangement I adhered it to the paper. I stuck four dog stickers above and beside the top of the doghouse. I added a heart between each dog. I attached a heart to the top two corners of the opening of the doghouse. I also added a bowl of dog food on the photo and a shoe in the base right hand corner. I stuck a row of dog theme stickers such as bones, toys and food below the bottom of the house. Using a green marker to compliment the colors used in the layout, I wrote the words “Every Dog Needs A H-o-m-e.” Black pen could also be used if you want the words to stand out and add more contrast. I used the green because it blended nicely and is soft as are the rest of the muted colors in this layout.
