| Place your cupcake papers in an old muffin tray |
 |
| Melt your candle wax, add gold coloring (or 3 parts
yellow and 2 parts brown) and chocolate scent to the wax. Pour the
wax into your muffin cups. Set aside the rest of the wax to make your
whipped wax. |
 |
| Add the pre-dipped wicks to the papers in the muffin
tin and allow to cool, not to harden. |
 |
| Make whipped wax with the wax you set aside earlier. |
 |
| Scoop up the whipped wax with a spoon and place it
around the wick first then work your way out. Pile up the whipped
wax past the edge of the muffin paper. Use your fingers to push the
wax around the wick if necessary. Now you need to make the chocolate
chips. Melt a small amount of wax and add brown coloring. Place it
in a small container and allow it to cool, not to harden. Lightly
scrape the brown wax with a popsicle stick or spoon getting a small
chunk on the end. Repeat this process until you have as many chips
as you want. Once you have enough chips, lightly push them into the
whipped wax topping. Allow the wax to harden completely. |
 |
| Once the wax has hardened completely, slide a spoon
under the cap of the muffin candle and lightly pry it up until the
muffin comes loose. It should just pop out. It is important to wait
for the candle to completely harden or your candle may collapse under
its own weight. |
 |
| Remove the papers from your muffin candles. You will
see the ridges left by the papers around the edge as depicted in this
image. |
 |
| Trim the wick to 1/4" and your candle is done! |
