Exploring
Woodworking
Exploring Woodworking is an all-encompassing book on woodworking
that will benefit the beginner woodworker because it covers everything
you need to know about woods, tools and other products you will
be using.
Making Contemporary
Wooden Tables
The author states in his Introduction that he "will guide you
through the steps necessary to make each table, keeping parts and
processes in order, helping you avoid pitfalls, and stopping occasionally
to explain a difficult move. While the instructions are not written
for beginners..." the instructions are clear and in combination
with the step-by-step photos I think the author's intent was for
the woodworkers making the projects to be successful. Not for beginners!
The Complete
Guide to Outdoor Wood Projects
Most of the fifty projects in this book aren't fancy but they have
a quiet elegance that is evident in the fact that they are well
crafted and beautiful to look at. Some of the projects in The Complete
Guide to Outdoor Projects are only for the experienced wood craftsman
because they involve techniques that aren't explained in this book.
Projects for Outdoor
Living
Are you handy? Did you ever want to build a deck, patio furniture
or install your own hot tub? For each project, there are convenient
shopping and cutting lists provided along with the instructions
and an assembly diagram
The Big Book
of Weekend Woodworking
I really like The Big Book of Weekend Woodworking because it shows
that the authors enjoy woodworking and they have demonstrated it
through the inclusion of their favorite projects. You really get
a sense of their dedication when you read the Introduction, see
the great hints and tips on making the projects, the clear instructions,
complete materials lists and specific assembly diagrams. |
