Wonderful Wire Works is a great book if you are a beginner, intermediate
or advanced wire crafter. You may have experimented with one or
more of the types of wire works in this book; wire jewelry, bottles
& vases, tabletop glamour, lamps & shades, frames, baskets
or candle holders but you may still need help with the techniques
with which you aren’t as familiar. I think every part of this
book is important to read starting with the Foreword, the chapter
called About Wire and the following ones called About Tools &
Equipment and General Instructions. Reading these parts of the book
and becoming acquainted with the techniques and materials and tools
for wire crafting will help you make the project you choose to do
a success. The idea of making these wire creations may seem daunting
just by looking at the photographs of the final products. They aren’t
difficult to make because there are step-by-step instructions, illustrations,
and patterns to help you learn to make the wire crafts. There are
diagrams illustrating techniques required for each craft and the
templates accompany the specific craft instead of being in a separate
section of the book. At Christmastime I was contemplating making
some wire ornaments but wasn’t sure I could do it and make
them look like they were supposed to. Now that I have seen this
book and read the encouraging message in the foreword by the author,
I feel I could make wire crafts successfully and look forward to
trying some of the projects in Wonderful Wire Works. |
