Book Review
Most of the ideas are fresh and really inspiring for any party
you may be planning. The color and materials combinations are unique
and attractive. Some people feel daunted about the idea of planning
a party and in this book there are ideas for making wine glass charms,
ice bucket, party hat, plates, favors, vases, place cards, luminary,
garland, pinwheels, thank-you cards, napkin rings, wreath, centrepieces,
utensil bucket and candles for a number of occasions. The celebrations
include New Year’s Eve, Valentine’s Day, Easter, Fourth
of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Birthday, Graduation,
Bridal Showers, Weddings, Housewarming Parties, Baby Showers and
Anniversary and Retirement parties
The styles of the projects in this book are very elegant but simple
to make. The instructions aren’t laid out in the typical numbered
step-by-step style but are very clearly written and the process
explained in a manner for all levels of crafters to understand.
Normally I would prefer there to be a supplies list with each craft
idea but looking at the photo and reading the instructions helps
you decide whether it is what you want to use for your party. Once
you have decided what you want to make there is a Project Materials
chapter at the back of the book that lists all the materials as
well as the specific brands used. The materials lists are accompanied
by photo and name of the projects for easy access to the product
information. If additional information is required on the specific
materials there is a Resources page at the back as well. Some of
the projects involve the use of a template and this is at the back
of the book, which isn’t as nice as having it with the project
instructions, but this is a minor inconvenience. |
