Book Review

This is one of my favorite books. In it you will find 500 crafts and activities that can be done at home, or away on vacation. The instructions are very hands on and geared toward child participation with adult supervision and assistance. This book is divided into 10 different sections including Setting Up, Let's Color, Likable Recyclables, Paper Play, Squish and Sculpt, Back to Nature, The Toy Factory, Ready to Wear, Gifts Kids Can Make and Homemade for the Holidays.
The instructions are very detailed and when necessary, sketches accompany the illustrations to better describe the process and encourage success.  The illustrations show the crafts in the setting they would be used giving you an idea where and how they could be displayed.

It would have been nice if they had included how long each activity lasted and the appropriate age group, but for the most part you can use common sense to decide what crafts are appropriate for you children.
