Book Review

Crafts for Easter is a great book of ideas for children to do to celebrate and decorate for this holiday. The crafts, instructions and use of recycled materials in most of the projects are typical of Ross’ style. Using recycled materials makes it easier to do the projects immediately in most cases because you probably have the materials on hand and don’t have to go out and buy anything. The instructions are easy to follow and there are illustrations of all of the materials and tools required so it is very kid friendly.

The projects in this book include a stuffed toy, jewellery, puppets, Easter baskets, games, cards, a decorated foil egg, Easter chicks, handprint animal crafts, Easter clothing crafts as well as a unique Puzzle Pieces Easter Wreath. What I really like about this book is the crafts are different than in other Easter craft books and this is partially due to the use of recycled materials. Saving the environment is good and in this case these materials will give the crafts a very distinct look. I also like that after having made these crafts, games and decorations the children will have a great sense of accomplishment having done it themselves (with a little discreet help from an adult if needed).
