Book Review

There are a good variety of crafts, using mostly recyclable materials or things you have on hand at home.  The focus of the crafts aren't completely on the fact that Christmas is a religious or a traditional holiday so it meets the needs and beliefs of all the readers.  I like it that the crafts are really simple and are geared towards the children being able to do them mostly on their own, depending on their age of course.  If the children are really young and need assistance the craft becomes a family project so they still get to participate.  All the crafts using glue only use white glue so children of all ages will be able to do this part. Adults may have to assist with scissors depending on the age of the child because most of the crafts involve cutting in some way.  Painting is involved in some of the crafts so this portion can be done by most children except perhaps the craft involving the use of nail polish (the Ornament Necklace) which, depending on the age of the child once again, would require adult assistance as nail polish is not non-toxic like the paints should be where children are concerned.

  • Glitter and Sugar Ornament
  • Ornament Necklace
  • Santa Door Decoration
  • Hand Reindeer
  • Handprint Christmas Card
  • Country Christmas Gift Bags
