Book Review

When I saw this book I just knew I had to have it.  I didn't have children at the time but I work at a daycare and knew I would use it with those children as well as my own someday.  I looked at the entire contents of the book and I wasn't disappointed with what I found inside. The craft ideas cover the four seasons including the holidays that occur within the respective months.  Not only is this book geared towards families participating in projects with their children, it includes an introduction to each section and symbols to categorize and organize the various crafts to help you decide which project you want to do.

The step-by-step instructions are straightforward and combined with the photos and patterns the projects are easy to do.  Full size patterns are included (in most cases) for your convenience.

It would take many pages to describe everything I want to about this book so suffice it to say, it is excellent.  I especially like the nature element of alot of the crafts.  I also really appreciated the "Talk With Your Kids" section at the side of each page.  It is a good example of how to approach or introduce a project  This also demonstrates how the editor believes the projects will promote and encourage family togetherness.
