Scrapbooking Notes:

The inspiration for this simple layout was the photo of me with the typewriter that I desperately wanted one year for Christmas. I loved to write letters so it was my pride and joy. For a layout like this not much embellishment is required because you don't want to take away from the importance of the subject of the photo. All the embellishment I added to this layout was the Christmas theme stickers on either side of the photo to fill up that space because it wouldn't have looked good empty. I used a red pen for the journaling and the lines of the journaling box to offset the green of the background as well as pick up the red of the typewriter in the photo. Green and red, being Christmas colors, go very well together. The journaling box at the bottom of the layout allows you room to write down the story behind the photo. It is as important to capture the feelings of the moment occurring in the photo as taking the photo itself because that too is part of the memory.
